Operation Ancient Evil Ch. 3

• 4 months after armanhammer’s disappearance, At SHIELD headquarters

Agent Coulson sighed as he read another report about the families that were missing “what could’ve happened, whats going on here? Maybe there is a hidden message in the distress call.”

Agent Simmons shook her head “we’ve tried listening for one but there isn’t, we’ve listened to it so many time now and yet nothing, no hidden message about what's going on or his location and we’ve tried doing global scans over and over and yet he doesn't appear anywhere, it’s almost as if he’s vanished from existence. And he hasn’t gone to the other world either because there hasn’t been a power spike that matches his in months.”

“Just play the message again there has to be something we’re missing.”

She sighed as she decided to play it again loud enough for them to hear.

“calling all people from the other world, we are all under targeted attacks, cease all contact with humans and do not go to police for help, I repeat we are under attack, cease all contact with humans.”  it repeated a few times till it stopped.

“There’s nothing sir” she looked back at the computer screen trying to see if anything could be found.

Coulson sighed as he looked at file “what does he mean by targeted attacks who could be doing it? And also the next question is why.” He sighed as he walked out of the lab and into the hallway as he caught glimpse of Hazle sitting there at a table all alone, he decided talk to her and walked over “Ms. Morre is everything alright? If it is about your husband we are doing everything we can I promise you we’re doing all we can to locate him and find out why he’s gone into hiding.”

Hazle nodded “I know Coulson, I am glad you're all doing you're best to find out why but still….. I miss him so much and it’s not like him to simply disappear like that, he would have said something or called but he hasn’t and I’m just so worried  about him. What if he’s gone…. and none of even know it…. But he could be ok right?” she tried hard to try and not break into tears as she held her own hands together and then saw a hand hold hers she looked at Coulson.

“Don't think those thought Ms. Morre besides this is armando we speak of isn’t it? I’m sure he’s alive and has reason to have sent out that signal. I know I’m asking a lot and you’ve waited for months but I’m just asking you give it a bit more time and we’ll find out everything.” He gave her a reassuring smile and watched as she nodded

“Sir I think we might have found something! We caught a faint signal of a message, it’s not the clearest but were able to make out something things and we assume it’s from armanhammer!”

He looked back and saw agent R as she stood there “you did?”

She nodded “big bro was able to find the faint signal which was sent about half an hour ago as it’s broadcasting in a secret frequency, it wasn’t easy but he managed to break in, follow me.”

He stood up “let's go then” he turned back at Hazle “come with us Ms. Morre.”

She nodded and stood up as she followed them as the moved quickly as they went into a large room where other agents were and in the front was Doctor Pyromaniac. She went to go take a seat along with her friends who were all quite but she knew they didn’t want to bother and make things worse.

Coulson walked to the front “excellent work Pyromaniac, we finally have a lead on what's going on.”

He shook his head “not exactly but we have confirmation that he is indeed alive and that he on the move and is making preparations but for what we don’t know.” He looked around at the table as agents sat there quietly “now I know we’ve all been working hard on this case but we finally have evidence that he is alive but no other information is said except for what the distress call is for.” He tapped his laptop as he began to play the message.

The message began “calling members of unit 9, calling all members of unit 9 it is time to move out, I repeat it is time to mobilize.”

Pyromaniac ended it and looked around that was sent half an hour ago along with a second call which was sent on the same frequency for the people of the other world that was sent months 2 months ago” he pressed it to start.

“Calling all people from the other world, remain hidden and continue to cease all contact with humans. The attacks are continuing but I plan to put an end to this, remain hidden till further notice, I repeat remain hidden till further notice.” With that the transmission ended

Pyromaniac looked around “this two transmissions were sent one after another and they are both indications that he is alive. Afterwards there was an energy spike at the same match as his which indicates he’s on the moe and last known location was Washington but he is obviously gone now. The first message speaks of a team called unit 9 does anyone have a clue as to whom he is speaking about.”

They shook their head as Josh raised his hand “we found out that unit 9 existed but he wouldn’t tell us what is was or who in fact. All we know that it’s his secret team in case we were ever unable to respond to the call of action. Either of injury or missing but that's all we know, I’m sure our A.I know’s about it but I'm sure she’s kept it secret as well.”

Pyromaniac looked at the screen “are there any ideas on where they would meet up? Do any of you know” he looked at all armando’s closest friends and his wife but they all shook their heads and he nodded as he looked back up “where could they possibly be meeting up.”

“Let's not forget why this Unit 9 is being called in” agent Y say there as she looked at the screen. She stood up “they're being called because they might have a lead to our previous question on the targeted attacks against the people of the other world. But I'm wondering why didn't he simply call us or notify us either? Why go through the trouble and call in a secret team in the hidden frequency.”

Coulson nodded and looked out “our priority at the moment is to find out why these attacks are happening and what is happening I guess to the people, second priority is to find out more info on the whereabouts of Unit 9 and what they're plans are. You're all dismissed to continue working” he watched the agents stand up and start leaving the room and he stayed behind and looked at the screen “what do they know that we don't? What could possibly be happening.”

• Salmon - Challis National Forest

Armando rode the bike through the rocky terrain as he punched the gas to go faster and pressed a button on his intercom as he sent out another message which was a risk sending out so many in one day. But he did it anyway “all members of unit 9, calling all members of unit 9” he punched it again he pulled up the scarf around his face a hot covering it up except for his eyes as he saw he was heading for a town, as he got closer he looked to left at an off road path as he turned on it and punched it again. As he drove out of sight from anyone possible he decided he could get rid of the disguise and set himself on fire burning the ragged clothes off revaluing his suit.

In the distance on a low cliff a girl smiled at the sight as she picked up her helmet and hooked onto her back “oh hell yeah”  she brought a gun as she got closer and yelled in excitement “he's alive, the boss is here!” She started firing into the air with excitement as she twirled around.

From the ground through a pit of binoculars jackal watched the motorcycle come their way and nodded “por fin, he finally comes out of hiding.” He put them away and started making way.

As the motorcycle got closer someone stood up from their chair as she smiled at the sight and ran over “you're finally back that's what I'm talking about, I never doubted you armando good to see you alive.” She stood there smiling as she placed her sniper on her back.

He stopped the motorcycle and looked around at John, Emily, and Sam “glad to see you got my message.”

“We wondering if you'd ever call!” A figure jumped down from a ridge wearing a trench coat as he stood up and gave a smile “it's good to see you again armando.”

He was followed by someone else who jumped down and landed by his side “we've been waiting for your call, we thought you'd never actually call on unit 9.”

Armando chuckled “likewise, it was bound to happen at some point” he got off his box and smiled “good to see you two again, kai and shade.”

“I was always wondered when you'd call boss, man I just couldn't wait to help you out again cause you always have awesome things planned. I mean they're bad things but you get the idea.” She hugged him tightly and pulled away.

“Always good to see you too Emily and yeah I know what you mean sorry to keep you waiting for so long.” He turned to face john and smiled “good to see you made it pal, I was a bit worried.”

“I don't know si necesito to be offended or that you at least thought about me. Pero en verdad bueno a mirar you too buddy.” John'sfist bumped armando and nodded with a smile.ded.

Armando sighed as he looked around at them “this world had people from the other world to play by their rules to prevent conflict and war….. well the rules just changed.”

John nodded and looked down “porque seria esto ellos esto, they hadn't done anything wrong and only look to live in harmony y a tener sus familias. Why target them?”

Sam nodded as she sat back in her chair “yeah I won’t lie the people are really messed up, I’ve seen those families and they really mean no harm, well except for those that follow “her” or the ones that she creates. Could it be the gov just wants to get rid of them all because of it?”

Armando shook his head “I doubt they’d do it because of that, there has to be another reason and humans are helping them.”

“Cuando I received  the message mi sali de SHIELD quickly just in case, but don’t you think it’d be a good idea to have them come y ayudar?” John looked at him.

“Not yet, we have to find out what's going on first, especially after the raid” he looked around “you three encounter any kind of raid?” he watched kai, shade and john shake their head. He nodded relieved and looked at Emily “what about you, find anything?”

“Actually I did, I saw a raid happen and I have to say it was awful boss, they had everything planned and the details were so precise and it was almost like they tore them apart. Then they simply clean up the mess and leave where I don’t know, but I was able to snap a picture of someone who seemed to have been overlooking the entire operation.” She brought out her hand as a little device sat there and activated it to show an image  of a figure wearing the black trench coat holding a scythe.

He grit his teeth “.. hannah” his fist clenched as he looked around “we need to find out why they’re helping her, what are they gaining.”

“Or what could she be planning detras de ellos” John looked at him “todo que sabemos about her she could be planning something herself y planea traicionar a todos. She might be continuing her research otra vez.”

Sam nodded in agreement and looked at the photo “god I hate her a lot, c’mon I think I have an idea where they could be taking these bodies. We’re going to New york, so it’s a long way so let's get going while the times good.”

Kai nodded but then put his hand up to get their attention “how do we know that where we’re going is the right place? We have to make sure that it is before we just burst in and cause a commotion, if the government really is being corrupted then we should at least look before we jump.”

Sam sighed as she looked around “in my opinion it’s all a bad idea, but I’m all about bad ideas so I say to hell with it we’re infiltrating and making sure we got the right target first.”

Shade nodded “we’ll need someone to infiltrate first, any ideas of who?”

Emily raised her hand “I’ll do it, besides I’d doubt they’d know who I am so I’m on this one, you can count on me.”

Armando nodded “alright then we got our game plan now let's head out and put it into action.”

“Y como vamos a llegar all the way to New york anyway? Que vamos caminando?” john looked out in the distance and sighed as he felt a hand on his shoulder.

“Don't worry pal, our rides on the way, I got everything planned ahead of time” points in the distance at a jet incoming as he smiles “glad katie never fails to let me down. Alright everyone we’re heading out” with that he started walking followed by the others to a clearing where the jet would land.

• Outside region of Marfa towns Texas

A group of SHIELD agents were in the area as they investigated a building as they searched for any signs of another family that went missing. While one of them looked out the window and investigating scorch marks that were left behind that was a bright shine in the night sky “whoa everyone check that out.”

Another agent walked over as they looked outside and brought out a device and scanned it “whatever it is it's causing an energy spike…. its rising fast, way to fast to be anything human.”

“An inhuman then or possibly it's the agent that went missing.”

“No this level… oh my god it just surpassed all know energy from this world, it's even passing that one agent that missing and former agent armanhammer, it's off the charts!”

A female agent walked over and looked “that's impossible! It's even going greater than anything ever recorded what is this!?”  

As the shine got bright it shot down from the sky as if a laser was being shot, the device the agent held actually short circuited at the level of energy being radiated. As the laser thickened there was a loud explosion, in the distance it was almost as if a bomb was set off and a wave of light headed their way blinding them, and as soon as it started it ended.

The agents rubbed their eyes and looked outside again and gasped at the view as the whole place was just destroyed and even mountains that existed there before we're all just gone “what was that!?”

“We have to go investigate, we can't just leave something like that left alone. Contact SHIELD and tell them what just happened now.” The female agent ran outside of the house followed by her partner while leaving the last agent in the house to call SHIELD. They hopped in their car as they made their way to investigate.  

Once there they could believe what they saw, it was just a waste land with nothing left as they saw a glow in the distance and drove close to it “what is that? I'm gonna check it out, stay in the car.” He got out of the car leaving the female agent inside as he walked towards the glow, it looked like an orb really, he took a few pics with his camera and then kept looking at it.

The female agent watched him “don't touch it, we have no idea what it is, it could be dangerous.”

“Don't worry I won't besides seems pretty harmless right now, it's just floating there.” As he watched the orb her heard a buzzing sound all of a sudden “what the-” the orb exploded informer of him sending him back and crashing onto the floor.

The female agent covered her eyes as it blinded her and as the brightness stopped she quickly got out of the car and went to her comrade “hey are you ok!” She reached him and kneeled down to check his pulse and sighed in relief and pressed her intercoms “we have an agent down and we've located the source.”

The agent that was left at the house got his intercoms “ok and what happened to him?”

“He was knocked back hard by an-”

The agent tilted his head “a what?” all he heard was static.

Back with the female agent she groaned in pain as she looked back at the attacker as a figure stood there.

He stood there as his form shifted and started taking the form of a knight as he stood there and looked at her “tell me where am I mortal.”

She looked at him and crawled back a bit “e-earth…. who are you and what do you want?”

“Me? I have no name but why I'm here, well I am here because my masters sent me here. I have come to cleanse your world from you pests along with this excuse of a planet.” He looked around “and I will have the ai-” he felt something hit his chest and looked at the agent as she held a gun,, he grinned under the helmet “that was a very bad move.”

She watched as the wound simply healed immediately as it showed no effect, she fired the entire clip till the pistol was empty and yet nothing was done. She watched as he disappeared and reappeared right above her with his foot on her chest crushing it.

“I may have no bar but maybe you can call me, the white knight” with that he simply crushed her under his foot killing her as stepped back and looked around “now dormanu, now that I've brought you here undetected will you keep your end of the bargain?”

A loud and deep voice spoke in his mind “very well, but first we must collect subjects to aid us. I sense a being that could possibly help us and is in what these humans call New York.”

He nodded and started walking “then New York is where we shall go.”
